Every Tuesday is TACO TUESDAY! We serve up our signature fried chicken tacos paired with $2 Tecates. Each order comes with two tacos with fried chicken strips, candied jalapeño aioli, slaw, cotija cheese, cilantro, and lime on corn tortillas. You can sub in tofu for a veg option at both of our locations, or charbroiled chicken at HBFC Glencoe. Wash everything down with a nice, cool Tecate beer for $2!

HBFC was born out of Sunday Dinner Club, a communal dining club, which was founded in 2005 by chefs Christine Cikowski and Josh Kulp. Their crowd favorite burger was sold at Chicago's Green City Market for 7 years before HBFC opened, as well as yearly dinners at SDC. Since SDC went on hiatus in 2022, the burger has only made one appearance to public which was HBFC's Roscoe Rewind. SDC, Josh and Christine are popping up once again on HBFC's 10th birthday to celebrate.

One of our amazingly talented chefs, Tameisha Brown, has her own concept called be irie which celebrates her Jamaican heritage through food. As Tameisha says "be irie" essentially means "be alright, feel good" which is exactly how she wants you to feel when eating her crave-worthy dishes.

We are so honored to host her pop-up at HBFC on Monday, December 12 from 5-9 p.m.

She draws inspiration from all the flavors and ingredients of Jamaica and creates an inspired menu featuring Jerk BBQ Wings, Brown Stew Chicken, Curry Goat, and Rasta Pasta (colored like the Rastafarian flag)! She's also gonna serve a pretty tasty cocktail to make the evening even more full of be ire spirit.

Our last pop-up with Monchomoncheo sold out quickly, so we recommend getting there early. :)

Our incredible chefs Ale and Quique take inspiration from growing up in Puerto Rico, their favorite flavors and ingredients, and combine that with some HBFC classics, including a Fried Chicken Jibarito and a play on our Pimento Mac with fried Puerto Rican Cheese PLUS some tasty Monchomoncheo originals. We’re teamin’ up with Pupusa Time to offer some of their authentic Pupusas Revueltas as well as a collab Pupusa Sandwich featuring our fried chicken, and a crunchy slaw featuring The Pickled Prince’s special Serrano “OG” pickles! Plus Sunday Dinner Club Pastry Whiz Alex is making some dynamite funfetti cookies, and Brian from The Pickled Prince will be on hand, slingin’ jars o’ pickles. HBFC Patio is Now Open

We are so excited to welcome you back to dine in-person on our patio. We have spent the time to make sure our staff had the opportunity to get fully vaccinated, and we have taken the necessary precautions so your experience at HBFC is safe for both you and our team. 

When dining on the patio, we ask that you please wear a mask if you need to come into the building to use the restrooms, and maintain proper social distance while around other guests and staff. 

We are also updating our ordering system. You can either order at honeybutter.com - OR - from the digital kiosk on the patio once you arrive. To get your order, approach the takeout windows on our back patio and pick up your food when your name is called.

To celebrate the Valentine’s Day holiday, Honey Butter Fried Chicken will offer the special “Heat-Breaker” as a spiced-up version of their namesake sandwich. Priced at $11, the Heat-Breaker features ghost pepper-infused honey butter and will be available throughout Valentine’s Week from February 9-14. In addition to the Heat-Breaker, Culinary Director Cam Waron’s Tuber’s Donuts will offer a “Box of Chocolates” donuts from February 13-14.

We're SO excited to share our latest Clucker Collab sandwich with our good friend, incredible chef, and overall awesome human Beverly Kim! Chef and co-owner of Parachute and Wherewithall as well as founder of nonprofit Abundance Setting, Chef Kim made a DYNAMITE sandwich that we can't wait for you to enjoy this week! Named after her nonprofit, The Abundance Sammie features sweet soy crispy glazed chicken with shaved cabbage and yuzu kosho mayo. You can snag it starting Tuesday 1/26 through Sunday 1/31!

Besides being delicious, this sandwich goes to a good cause! $1 of every sandwich sold goes to help the Abundance Setting - Chef Kim's nonprofit that supports the advancement of working mothers in the culinary and hospitality industries to have a sustainable career while maintaining quality of life at home.

Clucker Collabs are BACK starting this week! We really missed ‘em, so we’re excited to kick things off today with our good friends over at Antique Taco!  Chef Rick Ortiz made one heck of a sandwich you’re gonna want STAT- the 🔥 Chicken Cemita! (Yes - that’s an emoji IN the name haha.) The 🔥Chicken Cemita has our fried chicken strips, smoked fresno hot sauce, cool ranch crema, pickled onions, shredded cabbage, all on a sesame brioche bun. OOOOO yeah!! What’s not to like?!

This hot and heavenly sandwich is available starting Tuesday, October 27 through Sunday, November 1 for $13 and makes the perfect addition to any Halloween spread or celebration this weekend! You can order it for pick up through Square (since we are takeout only for the time being, we love when you come and pick up we can see your masked and socially distanced faces in person!) or delivery through Caviar and DoorDash


Plus! $1 from every sandwich donated to Chef Rick Ortiz’ cause of choice - The National Museum of Mexican Art in Pilsen. The NMMA houses an incredible collection of art and invests its resources teaching and mentoring children through Mexican art and other educational programs.
